SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The Scholarship Committee of the Irish-American Home Society is pleased to announce the distribution of our annual scholarships.

The scholarships being awarded each year include:

• Two $1,200 scholarships to high school seniors planning to matriculate full time at an accredited College or University granting an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
• Two $1,200 scholarships to full-time students presently attending an accredited College or University.

Eligibility:

Candidates qualifying for this scholarship must be members or sons/daughters of "members in good standing" (paid dues to date) of the Glastonbury Irish-American Society. This membership must be active for the past 3 years for eligibility.

Restrictions:

• A previous High School Senior Scholarship winner is NOT eligible for a college scholarship.
• A previous College Scholarship winner is NOT eligible for a second scholarship.

Submittal of Application:

Scholarship applications are available at the Club after January 1, 2008 and on this web page.
• No applications will be accepted before March 1, 2008.
• Deadline for submittal of application is May 1, 2008.
• Applications postmarked or delivered after May 1, 2008 will not be considered.

Award of Scholarship:
• 50% of Scholarship will be awarded at the June Meeting of the IAH Society.
• Balance of 50% will be awarded upon receipt of a registrar’s letter certifying that the student is full time and in good standing for the second semester.

Note: The Scholarship Committee would be grateful for any memorial donations made in the name of deceased club members. Your donation is tax deductible and will help to strengthen our scholarship endowment.
